Request for Proposals- Painting of Exterior Grafton Elementary School in Grafton, Vermont May 1, 2024 LEGAL NOTICE: The Grafton Elementary School Board is seeking Proposals for Painting of all exterior surfaces at the Grafton School in Grafton, VT. Bidders are solely responsible for the actual size of the painting area. Bidders are expected to field verify the size accordingly. Painting work will include necessary scraping, primer at bare wood and one finish coat of paint at all exterior surfaces having been painted before. Bidders shall include the following information with their bid: Company name and information Similar sized projects References from previously completed projects. Indicate products to be used. This project will use approved capital funds. All activities related to this project will comply with the requirements of these funding sources. Respondents must be licensed in the State of Vermont. Respondents will be required to provide proof of insurance including General Liability coverage of a minimum $1,000,000/$2,000,000, Statutory Workmen's Compensation and $2,000,000 Professional Liability Coverage at the time of their proposal. Implementation of the work is expected to be done during the summer break of 2024 and must be completed prior to September 1st, 2024. Notice of Bid The Town of Brattleboro Recreation & Parks Department is accepting sealed bids for roof replacement at the Nelson Withington Skating Facility. The facility is a pre-engineered metal building with an entry canopy and locker room addition. The pre-engineered metal roof currently has deteriorated metal roofing with no insulation or membrane. The roof assembly of the entry canopy and locker room addition consists of wood roof rafters, roof sheathing, and standing-seam metalroof panels. The objectives of this project are to replace these roof assemblies with new materials and components that will provide the facility with an improved envelope. There will be a Walk-Thru on Wednesday May 16 at 11:30 AM at the Nelson Withington Skating Facility, 61 Memorial Park Drive, Brattleboro, VT 05301. Public Hearing Notice Seeking Input on Application to HUD for Preservation and Reinvestment Initiative for Community Enhancement (PRICE) Competition May 16, 2024, at 6pm Vermont Housing & Conservation Board (VHCB) Offices 58 East State Street; Montpelier, VT 05602 Vermont to Apply for $15M in Federal Funding to Support eligible Manufactured Housing Communities (MHC's) The Vermont Agency of Commerce and Community Development (ACCD) is preparing to submit an application to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development's Preservation and Reinvestment Initiative for Community Enhancement (PRICE) Main Program seeking $15 million in funding. Vermont Agency of Transportation Public Notice Herbicide Spraying The Vermont Agency of Transportation (VTrans) has requested from the Secretary of Agriculture, Food and Markets, a permit to apply the following herbicides: Garlon 4 ULTRA, Garlon 3A, Oust Extra, Escort, Krenite S, Polaris, and Roundup Custom to control unwanted vegetation along all State highways and at State airports. Operations are authorized to start approximately May 15th, 2024, but will not begin until the appropriate notification requirements are completed. The application will be made by certified pesticide applicators using mechanically controlled equipment and hand-controlled methods. The methods employed are intended to avoid or eliminate drift. Residents along the rights-of-way (ROW) are encouraged to protect sensitive environments or water supplies within 100 feet of the ROW limits, and to avoid entering the ROW as spray trucks pass and until products dry. Residents should notify VTrans of the existence of any water supplies within 100 feet of the State's ROW.
