This notice is published pursuant to 24 V.S.A. 1972 to inform the public of these amendments and of the citizens' right to petition for a vote to disapprove these amendments. Summary: The Traffic Ordinance includes updates to the list of existing speed limits to include newly posted limits Ellen Ware and Putney Mountain roads based on traffic studies conducted in 2017 and new articles regarding traffic control devices, stop and yield intersections, parking regulations, loaded vehicle regulations, and general provisions related to adherence to the ordinance. To exercise this right, citizens must present to the Selectboard or the Town Clerk a petition for a vote on the question of disapproving the amendments signed by not less than five percent (5%) of the Town's qualified voters. PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE The Windham Regional Commission will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. at the Dummerston Town Offices, 1523 Middle Road, East Dummerston, to consider the request of the Town of Dummerston for approval of its Town Plan as provided by 24 VSA 4350(b). The WRC will consider whether the Town Plan is consistent with the Vermont Planning Goals, compatible with the Windham Regional Plan, compatible with the approved plans of other Towns in the region, and contains all the elements and statements provided by the Planning Act. The public hearing will also be held to consult with the Town of Dummerston and consider the confirmation of the Town's planning process as provided by 24 VSA 4350(a).
